Progressive jackpot seed, current value and ceiling: three different numbers
A progressive jackpot can show a seed, a current amount and a ceiling. The seed is the stated starting or reset amount. The current figure describes the pool now. The ceiling limits its growth under the applicable rules.

Treating all three as available awards can triple-count one jackpot. Reading only the current value can also hide what a reset or cap actually means.
Give each number a role
The UK progressive-jackpot standard calls for rules covering seed and ceiling values, current displays and the treatment of contributions after a cap. This is a British technical reference, not proof that a Philippine product follows it.
For a concrete exercise, invent a pool with a seed of 10,000 units, a current display of 12,350 and a ceiling of 15,000. These are three descriptions of one model, not three confirmed prizes.
Calculate growth and headroom separately

Adding seed plus current plus ceiling gives 37,350, but that sum has no defined award meaning. The seed is already part of the current pool in this model. The ceiling is a limit, not a second balance waiting to be added.
A reset is not simply a negative contribution
If this invented pool is awarded and restarts at its stated seed, the display moves from 12,350 to 10,000. That change alone is not evidence that someone contributed −2,350 or that every player lost that amount. It is a transition between pool states.
An actual record needs the documented reset rule and time. A stale screen can show an earlier value. A lower screenshot without a matching pool identifier and event record does not prove why the number fell.
At the ceiling, ask where further contributions go
The arithmetic can tell you that 2,650 remains before the ceiling. It cannot supply the overflow rule. A product might document a reserve or another treatment; use its current wording rather than inventing one from a stationary counter.
Neither a large current amount nor proximity to a ceiling, by itself, supplies the chance of winning or a deadline for an award.
